Day 290

Dear Daddy,

Happy Halloween! Pretty much our whole day revolved around the festivities this evening!

This is my Pebbles Flintstone costume! I was amazed at how the grass felt under my feet!
Logan and Grace took pictures with me too!
Mommy was a kitty!
On the train I was ok if mommy was holding me... but I did not want to sit alone!
On the hayride... mommy thought I was going to get really scared but I actually liked it.
This is my "can we please go home now" face.
Of course we had to go trick-or-treating for a photo op...
We went to some nice people's house and they loved us and gave us TOO much candy!
Then we walked down to the fire station because they had all the trucks out. I was over everything at this point, and just stared at the trucks...
...and when the fireman tried to put me up in one of the trucks I freaked out. So he had mommy get in there and hold me.
I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya

Day 289

Dear Daddy,

This morning I had waffles for the first time! I loved them, I ate two!

We went to my doctor appointment after that-he said I am doing really good! I am 20 lbs 9oz, and am 29 3/4 inches tall. Mommy doesn't get it, but basically I am tall and thin. And officially more than half as tall as mommy!

Mommy was going to slowly wean me from my formula (doing half milk, half formula for a couple of days) but she tried cold turkey and I loved it! I chugged the entire cup of it! (Oh-and see my sticker for being a good girl for shots? That's my first sticker!)
Stuffing my mouth with banana
I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.

Day 288

Dear Daddy,

This morning I had a special breakfast! Mommy made cinnamon rolls, and I got one (but without the icing, sadly). I loved it and ate it all!

We had a basic fun day of playing, running to get groceries, and more playing... and then Logan came over this evening!
Mommy is tired of me ripping off my velcro bibs-so she made me one out of some old vinyl and put a snap on it!
I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.

Day 287

Dear Daddy,

This morning when mommy woke me up I must have soaked a lot through the night... my bottom smelled like peepee! So mommy decided it was definitely bath time.

I took my first bubble bath on accident. Since I'm still sick, mommy got the vapo bath stuff out, and little did she know it was bubbles! I had fun with it though.
After my bath I was coughing up all sorts of icky stuff, and sticking my fingers into the back of my throat so mommy called the doctor to see if there was anything other than Vicks she could do... they wanted to see me just to make sure it wasn't strep. When we went they said no strep, my cold is just a cold, but I was wheezing and that was causing lung spasms (or something like that). They gave me a breathing treatment in the office, and it was the most awful thing mommy has had to do to me, she felt so terrible. She held me for the beginning of it but I was thrashing around so much, screaming, I even pulled the medicine out of the mask... the doctor came in to help mommy and they still had a hard time. After the medicine was done and I was calmed down a bit, he listened to my lungs again and said they already sounded a lot better. So now I have to have an inhaler till the cough is completely gone. Hopefully soon!

I took a nice long nap when we got home-that sure wore me out. When I got up the people from the cable company were here to install new wires, and so they pretty much tore up the apartment for the next four hours. Mommy was kind of annoyed. I was crabby because I couldn't play like normal because of a lot of dangerous things being all over.

Logan and his mommy came over to play though!
Mommy counted down the minutes till bedtime tonight, that's for sure. I was so fussy. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be feeling better and that tooth will have poked through enough to consider my second tooth here.

I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.

Day 286

Dear Daddy,

Today we had another busy-ish day. We got up and got around and went to mommy's chiropractor appointment... I was a bit of a squirmy worm there. We ran to the store, went home and talked to you for a minute, had lunch and then it was my naptime because I was melting down.

I took a nice nap and then Aunt Kristin came over to watch me while mommy had an appointment. I was a good girl while mommy was gone.

When mommy came back we had dinner-one thing she made me was cubed up sweet potatoes and put cinnamon on them, I wasn't too excited about them though. You can kind of see the cinnamon all over my mouth.
Then it was present time from the Grandparents!
SO excited... I was running, clapping, blowing kisses all at once... (this was mid-fall)
And then I just stood there. Really goofy. Like this.
We have to take them back to get smaller sizes... but preeeetty coat!
I'm sitting just how mommy did growing up... which is bad considering her appointment today was an MRI on her knee!
I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
