Day 187

Dear Daddy,

Mommy apparently only has these two pictures for you today. Happy new year! We went to Jackson's house to play this morning and Patrick and Ava took monstrous naps this afternoon. This evening was a fail with the power outage. Mommy did some picking up though after we all went to bed and Emma decided she wanted to have a foot snack.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya

Day 186

Dear Daddy,

Mommy finally finished Emma's stocking! Yay mommy! She's really trying to get so much stuff knocked off the to do list.

Today we went to the commissary (and completely cleaned them out of chicken, as usual) and then mommy stayed up far too late food saving.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya

Day 185

Dear Daddy,

Here's Emma being snuggly in the morning! Mommy loves when she does this.

Ava has been giggling over this because it's "n a k. e d" (doing that so creepers can't google)

I started painting Madelyn's box for part of her Christmas present!

Then I was goofing around under my bed and got a sliver between my nail and the nailbed. I was a mess over it.

Emma discovered the wall...

…and mommy finally finished the tree skirt!

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Day 184

Dear Daddy,

Ava still loves that book! Mommy is a little sad that you never did another DVD, but you'll have to read it to her as soon as you are back.

Here we are loving tuna fish sandwiches! Go figure.

And here Ava is loving her food all over her face… ohhhh girl.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya

Day 183

Dear Daddy,

I love coloring with my stencils that Grandpa got for me for my birthday!

Your poor foot locker. This is what mommy saw as she was unpacking...

I was so excited to find the page you colored!

Creeper Ava!

Aww, Evie.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya

Day 182

Dear Daddy,

Today was nuts. We went out to the outlets for yet another round of outfit shopping… mommy is so tired of it and is ready to be finished. We had such a long day but we were troopers, even if meals had to be creative and we got home super late.

I played with Patrick and Emma at Carter's. Ava got to shop with mommy. We are so thankful for that little table!

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya

Day 181

Dear Daddy,

Today was much better than yesterday, though we still had a lazy recovery day. Since, you know, being emotional is exhausting.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya

Day 180

Dear Daddy,

Merry Christmas! What a strange, lonely day it was. This time next year we will be so thankful we're not doing that again… I hope.

Emma is the only one who wore festive pajamas.

I'm helping make lunches-my new favorite task!

Chloe came over! We made signs. Of course yours is ridiculous.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya

Day 179

Dear Daddy,

I had a serious issue with creeper eyes today. Don't mind me. Mommy was so annoyed with me over it. Look at us carrying you in our carriers!

You can't tell in the least bit, but Emma was being silly here-she had her legs picked up and were swinging them back and forth like she was on swings. She did it for quite awhile and it was silly.

What's also silly is that she is the one who most often touches the tree. Stinker. She's gotten ornaments down before.

This is the entire bottle of Tylenol that Patrick spilled on the floor. It doesn't look like much here but it was an entire pretty big bottle.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Day 178

Dear Daddy,

This is actually the very first time that Emma ever sat up by herself. She was so proud, given the expression on her face! Thank goodness the iPad just happened to be sitting nearby so mommy got to snap these.

This may be one of mommy's favorites. I was so so happy because Emma was waving to me!

Making sugar cookies today… yum! I did a good job.

Mommy thinks that this is funny sometimes. I just have a poofball of curls.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya

Day 177

Dear Daddy,

Emma is 7 months old today! Sad in a sense, because she's getting big so fast, but excited because we know you'll be home soon.

You got a hat from church today!

It was super warm out today so we worked outside. Yay! Your car is nice and clean even if you can't drive it right now.

We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.

Love, Maya
