Dear Daddy,
Today was a really long day. Emma was super fussy all day and we just didn't get much of anything productive done.
We did, however, watch you reading books to us! Mommy is so glad she knew where my DVD's were from last time you were deployed. Now Ava just wants to watch the videos over and over again.
This is a rare moment of no crying or fussing.
Mommy even had to get creative with dinner since she didn't have time to make anything. Thank goodness for leftovers!
Everyone wanted to color.
The garden is looking really good!
There is a super random hibiscus out in the woodsy part in the back.

Mommy had a rutabaga for dinner. She said it was delicious and reminds her of you.
I took a very very long bath tonight.
We put Ava to bed before I go in so that when I go in she is sound asleep. Tonight she woke up when I came in (whoops) but mommy taught me how to be gentle to her and get her back to sleep so she didn't cry for long.
We love you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.
