Dear Daddy,
Today we got up super super early (almost 5am) and drove to Myrtle Beach. We slept halfway, until a little north of Charleston... then mommy had to stop for a bathroom break so we made it into a breakfast break as well.
We got there in pretty good time and picked up Miss Jessi. Then we weren't too sure where to go as our room wasn't ready yet and we don't really know the area, and it was SO freezing cold-it was in the 30's I think. The wind was like ice. It was awful.
We tried to go along the boardwalk, thinking that would be fun, but that was a fail because the only people there were kind of creepy and there weren't too many super kid friendly places. The ocean was beautiful though.
Shortly after, after a LOT of driving around in circles not knowing where we were going, trying to find something to do, and trying to find something decent for lunch, we grabbed Jimmy Johns and were finally able to check in to our room. We all had fun exploring right away!
You can't really tell, but this was really funny. Ava had Emma's bottle on her hand and was running around pretending it was her hand, like Captain Hook's hook.
We all had fun with the coffee table too. Mommy just gave up fighting that one after awhile. She's glad we don't have one.
Ava put on Miss Jessi's boots and did "giddy up" on Uh oh.
This was their room. See the sliding glass closet door to the left? Patrick thought it was an elevator and had so much fun playing with it all the time. He's obsessed with elevators, we've found after this trip.
We had a fireplace in our room too! Mommy let it go for a little while before bed.
We miss you, daddy, and we can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
