Day 115

Dear Daddy,

Today there are an absurd amount of pictures. After a long (well short, really-we didn't sleep much-but I wasn't swaddled at all) night mommy woke me up just before 7 to go to Emily's. I thought about falling back asleep but as soon as I got there and saw Emily ready to play I said nev.er.mind.

Emily showed me some new games to play. I'm sure when I get just a little bit bigger I can play these games too, I saw some toys that look just like this at our house... (I even joined in on the fun-you can't see it but I have a couple too.)
After a little bit it was getting very hot outside, so Emily and I went to play in her pool. I HATED it at first-I screamed and cried. After mommy showed me I could jump in it, I was ok... I guess. I was very interested in the sun, and I liked giving it kisses.
Another thing I was very interested in was pulling on (very oblivious) Emily's pigtails... or attempting to, because mommy wouldn't let me for real! I am mentally computing how to get back at her for whaling me all those times.
I took a nap, because well... no one does well after only a few hours' sleep.
When you got on to see me, it was avocado time!
I was talking to you here, very obviously!
Since we did away with the swaddler, we have to get used to me sleeping on my belly... look what funny prints I woke up with from my nap in Emily's pack and play! Can you see them on my face and my arm? They were all over my cheek and forehead!
It was soooo hot... we gave up on our sale and went to the pool.
For it being my first time in, I was such a good girl... I LOVED it! Emily let me play in her float for a little while, and I loved kicking my feet in the water.
Mommy didn't sunscreen my face very well before we came down-so she did a little more at the pool. This is what I looked like after-like I had just been born.
And then I was so tired when we got back that I crashed-and mommy actually had to wake me up to feed me.
We then went to the carnival on base...
I couldn't stop staring at all the lights!
They even made me wear a band!
I crashed. Again. And so for the third time today-mommy had to wake me up to move and feed me. She hopes I sleep good tonight from all of this!
I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
