Day 214

Dear Daddy,

Last night when mommy went to check on me before she went to bed this is how she found me... I apparently didn't hardly move at all once she put me down! She always puts my baby in my arms for me when she says goodnight, and usually I talk to my baby for a couple of minutes... who knows what happened here.

This church dress is hardly fitting me anymore! Mommy is pretty sad about it, because she loves it (it's getting snug around the ribcage).
Uncle Alex and Aunt Kristin came to church too this morning, so I played with them a little bit.
When we got home from church, mommy gave me a bottle... I didn't want much to do with it, even when mommy tried helping. I started freaking out, so mommy put me to bed thinking it was naptime. I continued to freak out in there... mommy went to give me a cold pacifier but I was screaming in pain, so she took me out. She changed my diaper, gave me teething tablets, and took me into the livingroom to help me drink the rest of my bottle. I did, with tears running down my little face, but mommy was right there helping... when I got done eating, the screamfest started back up again. So badly that mommy couldn't settle me down at all... I just clung to her, and wouldn't even stop crying when she rocked me. We went through frozen pacifiers, teething rings... mommy put us in your bed and turned on the tv, and I settled down a tiny bit... and then it came. A big huge burp. I screamed so loud. Mommy felt so bad that she never thought it could be gas in my belly... I haven't had that problem in months! So she gave me Mylicon drops and I burped a few more times, screamed all of those times because it hurt so bad, and then finally I settled down and fell asleep with mommy holding me tight. I slept like that for an hour, and mommy dozed off too.
After an hour I woke up-and just wanted to play (your bed=playtime/jungle gym for Maya). Mommy was smarter and knew that I needed a longer nap than that, so she marched me right in to my room and put me in my crib... she expected a fight but didn't hear a peep from me. I slept for another hour and a half after that. I woke up so disheveled, as you can see by my hair!
Mommy and I watched The Simpsons, like we do every Sunday. I like it.
Clapping is now my favorite!
I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
