Day 225

Dear Daddy,

Yet another sick day to add to the tally, but since I was still running a fever this morning mommy called and made me a doctor's appointment. I had gotten up way earlier than I should have-between 7 and 730, mommy doesn't even remember... since we were up for awhile at 3 it was far too early. Mommy gave me a bottle and turned on the tv, so I was occupied for awhile (in my pack & play) while she dozed in and out (in between my fits) till about 9. It was a fussy, fussy morning and mommy looked forward to me taking a nap.

After I got up, we got ready to go to the doctor's office. I got my hair washed... this is what it looks like before mommy brushes it!
I ate a quick lunch of leftover pancakes...
(Mommy thinks I am mimicking your smile as a baby here, and she can see lately that I am going to have her cheekbones)
My sippy, most of the time, is too heavy for me to pick up. Especially when it is slippery from being in the fridge.
So then we went to the doctor, got some medicine (since after 3 weeks the whole "home remedies" stuff wasn't cutting it anymore), came home and ate dinner, I did a fun variation of fussing and playing most of the evening...

I had actually gone to sleep for a few when I woke up screaming in pain. Mommy went in and basically was unsuccessful in calming me down... mommy even got me a wet washcloth but I wasn't too impressed with it. Mommy took me in the livingroom to sit and settle down, and I had some teething tablets, got my face cleaned off, and let out a little burp... and then you came on and I was as happy as can be. Mommy was not impressed and thinks that if you are that magic you are more in need here than "over there".
After I talked to you, though, mommy put me to bed and I went right down after talking to myself for a few minutes... hopefully it stays that way for the rest of the night! I am not due for more Motrin till 3am, but mommy hopes she doesn't even have to give it to me. She needs sleep... and hopes she gets it tonight or tomorrow won't be too pretty.

I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
