Day 51

Dear Daddy,

Today I had another long-but fun!-day. I got up at about 7, but mommy let me talk until about 7:15. I got up, ate, and hung out for a bit-then we got ready and I walked around with Miss Sue while mommy and Auntie Kas got their toenails done.

Then we met some of our friends at Cici's for lunch. Boy, was it delicious... I wasn't happy enough with just my bottle so I tried to have a bite!
I am SUCH a drama queen! Oh sigh.
Then we went to base, and went to the fabric store (where mommy daydreamed about what colors my bedroom will be in when we move) and then went home to relax for a little while.
Today mommy gave me oatmeal cereal for the first time! I seemed to like it, but I only ate two spoonfuls. We'll work on it.
All afternoon I was just smiling and talking and laughing. Mommy actually enjoyed me! I had the best afternoon I've had in a LONG time.

After this, we went to Olive Garden for dinner. I was either sleeping or eating most of the time there.
Then we went to Babies R Us... which is always a mistake for mommy! But there were some things that she actually really did need for me there-like a new pair of white tights, and most importantly, hats for me for when we go outside, particularly tomorrow since its supposed to be sunny and hot, and I am still too little for sunscreen.
This one was on clearance for four dollars...
This one was on clearance for TWO dollars...
And this one was six dollars!
I was a silly girl watching my DVD for a little bit while mommy grabbed something at Emily's house.
Then I had a bath (and splashed water all over the bathroom floor), drank half of a bottle, and then completely crashed. Mommy woke me up so she could swaddle me, but then I went down like SUCH a good girl. Mommy filled up the vaporizer/humidifier/whichever one of the two it is, and when she came to plug it in I was still awake, just looking around, quiet as a mouse... but was completely out right after that.
Mommy is glad I went down well tonight, she was a little concerned that I wouldn't since my nose is so runny. I did just fine though, and hopefully I will wake up tomorrow all better!

I'm sorry I didn't get to see you today, daddy. Maybe tomorrow... we'll see! Enjoy your half day off.

I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
