Day 72

Dear Daddy,

The days just keep getting earlier and earlier. Just after midnight mommy ordered me a swaddler, and a mere 4 1/2 hours later I woke up... talking and scratching at the side of my pack and play and complaining that mommy wasn't talking back to me. By 5 I was being so loud that Aunt Kristin could hear me all the way out in the living room, and mommy had to get me up and re-swaddle me-which led to a fight for the next couple of hours to try and get me back to sleep for awhile. Finally a little after 7 she fed me again and manipulated me into sleeping because she was so exhausted. She knew she was throwing away my schedule for the day (yup) but at that second it seemed like an ok trade.

After yesterday's not going poopoo trick, I was paying for it today. Just a little bit after I got up I had to go-and it was not fun at all. After a huge struggle mommy swore I gave birth to a rock (it was poking quite the visible lump in my diaper). We'll see how I do tomorrow. Hopefully better!
Mommy and I got ready speedily this morning because we had to head over so I could play with Emily while mommy and Vanessa got tattoos. I was a good girl for Antonio, even though I was silly and didn't take a nap!

When we got back home I turned rotten as soon as we walked in the door. I really needed a nap, but had no interest in taking one. I played for a little while, sat in my swing and stared at mommy for awhile, screamed in my jumperoo for a bit, and fussed when mommy tried to get me to play with my new mat.
I finally did fall asleep though, for just a little while-maybe for an hour or so, but it was better than nothing. I woke up cranky, so mommy just started counting down the hours till bedtime. When it was time to eat, I wanted to eat, but was screaming so bad and freaking out that I couldn't get anything down. Mommy knows its my teeth that are bothering me, but Tylenol and teething tablets didn't help at all.

Bathtime came early since nothing else was working. Really-it was a good hour early but I didn't want to play, didn't want to watch TV... nooooothing. I even fussed reading you a story on your DVD. So I had a quick you know what time and then hopped in a bath.
Mommy forgot to get my cup and duck off the small shelf there on the left (usually she sets them on the edge of the tub) so I kept staring at them over there instead. Do you notice how much my head is rounding out now that I am on my belly more?
Curly hair!
Mommy plopped me in your bed to read a story tonight. I thought it was a big adventure!
Also-this pillow is also more mine than it is yours. So HA!
Aren't these the cutest shorts? Mommy and I just love them... I have yellow ones too.
I hope you have fun and do good in your run today.

I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
