Day 192

Dear Daddy,

Today frankly was a bad day. Mommy felt awful, I was talking in the highest decibel the human ear can pick up... it was just no good right from the start. Unfortunately it lasted the whole day, I didn't nap well at ALL, and I was crabby with my tooth. Mommy, in turn, felt like a horrible mommy because she couldn't do everything she wanted to do and make me as happy as I could be with how she was feeling, and got frustrated with me a lot because my voice and crying was continually echoing in her head.

Anyway though, I had blueberries and yogurt for breakfast this morning. It was pretty yummy-so yummy that I wanted to share it with my jammies. Mommy had to work a magic trick and get them off without me touching them because the blueberries were spreading by the second.
And then, since I was a mess and about to get a bath anyway, mommy gave me my biter biscuit for the day. I only have these right before a tub because they get ALL over. And... who says you can't have a snack after breakfast, especially when it helps my sore gums?
(well and then you know what was going on here... we haven't had one of these pictures in awhile)
After the battle that was supposed to be naptime (which ended up being 20 minutes, mommy dozing off, then thunder and lightning waking me up... in a couple of cycles just like that) we got up and I tried some bigger puffs for the first time. I still have a hard time with the tiny puffs-I know they are to eat, but I like to just play with them-but I do really good with the biter biscuits, wheels, and now these. Hopefully then we can go back to the tiny things. These were yummy-mommy got veggie ones, and tried them herself and thought they were pretty tasty.
This is my new vibrating teether. It's a little bunch of grapes (mommy let me pick between the grapes and the strawberry... she liked the strawberry, but I preferred the grapes) and when I bite down on it it vibrates. It's so nice because we can't always carry a cold teething ring around with this, and I like this a lot. It always surprises me when I bite on it, even though I know it's coming, I grin and giggle over it.
(looking at the little red bug on the end)
More connect-the-dots with my formula...
Today I got my arm stuck in one of the ovals in the laundry basket. Mommy was in her room ironing, and I was standing at the gate watching her-next thing I was fussing and the laundry basket was hanging by my arm (yes, lengthwise, almost as long as me). Hopefully I learned my lesson and don't do it again-mommy had to pull it out of there, and she noticed these scratches later on.
And last but not least, mommy surprisingly got pictures of my little tooth coming through. You can see it a lot better if you click to make the picture bigger, of course. It's going to be a long time till it is all the way in... it's been four days now since mommy noticed it was there peeking through the gums and this is as far as it's gotten. No wonder it took me so long
We are hoping tomorrow is a better day on this end, and we are praying for you and that you are safe going back to your work. We can't wait to hear that you got there, so call us soon, ok?

I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
