Day 10

Dear Daddy,

It's 10:00, and I am not asleep yet. You know how crazy mommy must be going at this point in time. At least I am quiet in my swing just looking at her, not screaming (anymore)...

Today mommy and I had a lazy day. We stayed in our jammies, and the only reason we went out is to take some food over to Rae and Kenny's because they got to bring home baby Kenny from the hospital and mommy wanted to be helpful.

Other than that, here are today's pictures:

This was me sleeping this morning when mommy got up.
Remember when mommy was talking to you and she said that I was waking up and looked really cute, and that she took pictures for you right then? These are the pictures:
Then mommy got out my DVD to see if I indeed loved it, or if it was a one time thing... sure enough!
(and then I sat like this for quite some time, interestingly)
and then I fell asleep.
I was having you-know-what time before my bath while mommy ate some dinner... but look what I wanted to do.
(don't mind the mess-mommy was in the middle of organizing paperwork and then I woke up from a nap and didn't want to cooperate.)
And to continue on the I'm-going-to-roll-the-other-way-soon-fest, mommy discovered that since I like the fan so much... why doesn't she just put me underneath it so I can stare at it easier? I still preferred lying on my side to do so though.
Of course, the night wouldn't be complete without a screamfest.
So mommy and I had a talk. And then I chewed on her finger (HARD), and the drool started. It was all over my mouth and it was running down her arm-gross! This picture she snapped with her fancy new phone: (see the drool hanging on my lip?)
And then I STILL wasn't very happy... and at this point it was past my bedtime and mommy was getting annoyed. So she got out my Bumbo and we practiced sitting up for awhile-I did really good with it today! And while I was sitting in there, mommy thought to put a teething ring in my hands... not only did I hold it really really well, but I loved shoving it in my mouth as well! I guess mommy underestimated me... it didn't dawn on her that I'd be able to do that.

Now I am asleep. Guess where at?

Grammie told mommy today about something she read about babies liking to sit up when they are teething... something about it relieving some of the pressure yadda yadda. So maybe that's why I sleep so much better in my swing lately.

Mommy misses you being home. There is a lot to do before she goes to sleep, and she is exhausted from me. And she just misses you in general.

I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
