Dear Daddy,
Today I had a long, busy day! But it was better than the last few have been-which reconfirms mommy's hunch that it was indeed a growth spurt that had me all crazy.
This is how I have insisted on taking my bottle a few times in the last day or so. These pictures were taken late last night, after the last post... but it gives you a clear picture of what silliness I have been up to.
...and then of course you can't forget just the cute shot of the day...
Mommy swears I'll roll from back to belly soon!
Then mommy took me to get my ears pierced. I'm not sure if it was more traumatic for her or for me... I didn't like having my head held still, or getting the marks on my ears, or getting them pierced in general-I did that thing where I cried so hard no sound came out. Mommy was really really sad... and even sadder that even though everyone said I'd be over it in a second, I wasn't. I cried in the store, through the mall, getting back into my seat to leave... but then I got in the car and went to Emily's house where mommy got me a bottle REALLY fast, fed me, then I fell asleep for a bit. Mommy thinks they are really cute, even though it made her sad getting it done.

Here are some pictures from after, when I was at Emily's house:

And then it SNOWED! Not a "lot" compared to Michigan standards, by far... but enough to where the town practically shut down (the bases did) and there were a lot of accidents and spinouts. The news just said that we got 3 inches, and there was a big pile-up accident on that bridge over by the courthouse on 17. Vanessa took these pictures when she had to run to the store (and counted 8 accidents from her house to the Food Lion at 24 and Piney Green):

Then this is just me at home.
I was having a hard time getting settled down-my mouth was hurting, my cheeks have been bright pink-so mommy just held me in one of my new favorite blankets.

Then I got to sleep, and mommy put me down... but an hour later I was in a lot of pain again so mommy just brought me out and put me in my swing to sleep. At least if I need her she'll be out here, since she'll just sleep on the couch tonight. I am all cuddled up in my blanket and your shirt... so at least I am more comfortable. Maybe those teeth will pop out tonight?
Whew... I told you I had a busy day! Tomorrow will be too, since we have to go to the commissary and to visit baby Kenny-he was born today! The more we can do to keep busy the better... mommy got really sad and upset tonight when our new President was talking about the military overseas and those who are left behind... because now that's us.
I hope you are nice and warm where you are... it's cold here tonight, and I wish I could cuddle up in your arms.
I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
