Dear Daddy,
Today was the best day we've had so far since you left! Mommy decided that she would dictate my afternoon schedule... and that made all the difference in the world.
I got up this morning and talked to you... that made me so happy! I was smiling big, but this is what mommy got of it:

Mommy and I played for a little while after that, and then she decided that instead of letting me just doze off here or there she was going to put me in my swing and make me take a nice nap. I fussed a little bit and didn't want to sleep, but mommy cranked the speed up to 6-so it was really swinging me good-and I was out for three hours!I woke up in a really good mood, and had a bottle... and then mommy bundled me up for a walk! We went on the big loop,and would have gone on the huge 3 mile loop but mommy wanted to be home before it got dark. We are going to try to do it every day now that its warmer out... I liked it a lot and mommy is going to try and work on losing all the weight I made her gain.
When we got home, mommy ate dinner while I played on my mat. I was really doing good grabbing on to my toys and not just batting at them.
When we got home, mommy decided what we'd do for the evening-but unfortunately she guessed wrong on the best idea for chain of events. She gave me some you know what time, and then got my bath ready, thinking I'd have fun in the bath then I would eat-wrong. Big fat wrong. I got in the bath, and had fun at first... not enough for her to get a cute video though. I started screaming pretty soon after I got in there, so mommy hurried to wash me up and said forget about the video so I could get dried off, dressed, and have a bottle. I was happy as a clam as soon as I ate, of course.
Mommy wondered just how far she could push my good, good behavior... since she has her doctor appointment early in the morning, she wanted a shower tonight... but she usually takes a shower when I am sleeping, and tonight 24 was coming on when it was my bedtime so she decided to risk taking a shower when I was still up. So she pulled my boppy to the door, put me in it, and voila-I talked to her the whole time she was in there! I even let her get her jammies on and dry her hair before I fussed for a change of scenery.
Mommy put me down at 9, even though I wasn't sleepy at all. I fussed here and there, but finally fell asleep right before 10. We'll see how I do the next couple of days being on a schedule like this, especially since mommy has her appointment tomorrow morning and then Wednesday is shopping day, but it seemed to work really well for me tonight. Mommy has some semblance of sanity left, and for that she is really glad.
Hopefully this means I'll start being good and the days will start flying by. It's dragged on so far, and it seems like this time is never going to be over with. We are both really looking forward to doing a video conference with you, because it will be so good to see you when we talk to you.
