Day 4

Dear Daddy,

Hi.

You better come home before mommy goes nutty.

Last night I soaked through a diaper (mommy put a Huggies diaper on me against her better judgement... she just wanted to get rid of them). So at 3 in the morning she had to change me but didn't really feel like trying to figure out where she put the extra crib sheets... so she praised herself for having set up the pack and play just because and stuck me in it. I just wanted to play for a little bit, but I finally fell asleep and woke up again at 7:30... again, a half hour before mommy's alarm was supposed to go off.

So mommy fed me and got me dressed in that cute pinkish dress with the flowers on it (its corduroy... you probably don't remember which one it is) and for the next hour while mommy was getting ready I SCREAMED. So she stripped me down and I was happy as a clam. She put me in something different, and I did ok with that. My little stunt made us a few minutes late for church... mommy misses you being able to get me ready on Sunday mornings.

Here is Pastor Jeff with me:
And Miss Brenda wanted mommy to take a picture of her for you...
This is what I ended up wearing. Remember when it was SO big on me?
Mommy also bought me this exersaucer too. She got it for $15 from someone-way better than the $110 it is at the store! Although she's not too sure about it yet-she might wait for a coupon and go get the new one anyway, and donate this one. She had to stuff blankets in the front because I didn't fit into it. The picture lies-I really didn't like it too much.
Here are my little chunker legs underneath!
Here I am just being silly...
...crossing my eyes again!
mommy spiked my hair before my bath
Then I took a bath and loved it! Mommy showed me how I could splash and kick my feet... I was really quiet and intent on watching what I was doing, and taking it all in. I'm sure I'll be able to do it by myself before long! And you'd be so proud... I didn't cry at all.

Then I was watching The Simpsons with mommy... safe to say I love it!
Don't be fooled by all the pictures of me smiling... it was another scream-o day. Maybe tonight these silly teeth will pop through... mommy can only hope! Oh-when mommy tells me goodnight and puts me to bed, she makes sure and squeezes my bear's hand so you can tell me goodnight too.

I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya

(ps-here is a silly video of Evie. She is chewing a piece of her rawhide. You might think it's boring... but she did this exact same thing for like 5 minutes!)
