Day 3

Dear Daddy,

Today was a day much like the past few days... only today I napped a little less, still cried a lot, but played a lot too.

I got up at 7, but mommy wasn't having it... I didn't want to go back to sleep after my bottle, but since mommy has been exhausted from everything going on she put me in my swing, I talked for a little while, and she went back to sleep till around 10:30.

At that point, since I really kind of went to bed at 5 yesterday, I had been sleeping for the better part of 18 hours. Mommy decided that I needed a bath today and not just a hair washing in the sink. I loved it... and I decided today that I loved being in my towel, so much that mommy even got to put lotion on me without me screaming!

Then the heavens aligned and I discovered baby Einstein on the TV... and actually watched it!

And then we played...

But then the afternoon wouldn't be complete without a few screaming fits.
(...again, a teething tablet in my mouth... not a tooth... yet!)
Then tonight I wore some new jammies. They are so soft!

Emily came over so they could get some food... mommy is in an organizing frenzy so she cleaned out the cupboards so she can give what we don't need away. The cupboards are bare now but I think she's rather glad. Emily watched you read stories to me tonight:

Your videos are the only things I am really really happy with. Well, that and food. And only being in my diaper. Mommy is going to have to start playing your videos all day long though. I miss you, that's for sure.

I laughed today! It was very short, but I did it. I wish I could have gotten it out before you left. Mommy will probably be even more psychotic with the camera now trying to catch it for you.

We are sad that you didn't call today, and hope you have a good reason other than you got sucked into Animal Crossing. It's 7am there now... so as mommy is going to bed you are getting up, or up already. I hope you slept good last night, and dreamed of us, and was nice and warm. It's cold here too, but mommy cuddles with me and we stay cozy.

I hope you liked all the pictures today. They are silly, but we were thinking of you.

I love you, daddy, and I can't wait to see you.
Love, Maya
